Notebooks, 1882-1906.

The notebooks primarily contain notes and computations on quadratic forms, geometry of numbers, fluid mechanics, number theory, and algebraic functions. In addition, there are notes for lectures delivered by Minkowski while a mathematics professor which cover these topics as well as partial differential equations, hydrodynamics, mechanics, and potential theory. Also included in the notebooks are drafts of articles on the theory of algebraic numbers, the geometry of numbers, and an essay on the history of the theory of probability.
